Library Information

The Jeannette Rankin Peace Center's (JRPC) multi-media library provides educational materials to the greater Missoula community. It contains more than 2000 books, videos, audio tapes and periodicals to help build and foster a community consensus for peace, justice and protection of the environment.

The Library endeavors to provide a wide selection of resources for teaching: non-violent conflict resolution and the history of non-violence; awareness of global social justice issues and crises; environmental stewardship; sustainable lifestyle practices; media literacy; grassroots democracy;and much more.

The Resource Library focuses on the following 14 broad categories of holdings:

• Children's Peace and Conflict Resolution Literature & Teacher Resources

Resources may be checked out six days a week from 10am until 7pm during the summer, and 10am to 5pm during the winter. Books, videotapes, and audio items are loaned for a two week period. If you have books, magazines, videos, audio-tapes, audio-CDs, or periodicals on the above topics that you are interested in donating to the library, please contact us. Gifts are tax-deductible.
