Fair Trade City Committee Application

The Jeannette Rankin Peace Center and Community Action for Justice in the Americas* (CAJA) are partnering up to establish Missoula as the first Fair Trade City in Montana. Our hope is to establish this status by 2010. We have a lot of hard but positive work to do and need your help to reach this goal. Gaining this status will place Missoula on the national map as a front runner for change and will show our support for Fair Trade.

We need individuals who are motivated, enjoy challenges, and are willing to be creative to apply for the Missoula Fair Trade City Steering Committee. The committee will be meeting to help establish Missoula as a Fair Trade City by 2010. The deadline to apply is February 27th. Applications can be picked up at The Jeannette Rankin Peace Center or can be downloaded from the link at right. For more information please contact Katie at 543-3955 or katie@jrpc.org.

*CAJA challenges and seeks to fundamentally alter the unfair distribution of wealth, power, and resources. Through education, advocacy, and grassroots organizing, we strive for social, economic, and environmental justice in solidarity with marginalized people throughout the Americas.
